updated to 16.0.2, now when I try to go to facebook the icon spins for ages, then I am unable to click on anything it is like there is nothing on the page. it is so bad I can not even click on the icon in the toolbar to minimise it have to close it down - totally not responding to anything and it is the same on my laptop. how do I remove 16.0.2 and go back to earlier version as this is obviously buggy

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

thanks for the reply the only thing that would work was to get rid of the new update.
