I updated to firefox 13.0.1 and getting printer not activated error code 20. checked printer and it's set as default. nothing else has changed and I CAN print in IE, word, .pdf files etc. just not from firefox. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the printer with same result  :( is firefox forcing me to move to chrome or IE??

tried that and didn't work. :(

I did a system restore to the evening before (when it worked perfectly) and working fine now. lesson learned: don't fix what's not broken!

Currently you have two versions of your printer software being recognized by Firefox. Is the (2) printer selected in the Printer - Name dialog box??
print.printer_HP_Officejet_6500_E709n_Series.print....
print.printer_HP_Officejet_6500_E709n_Series_(2).print....
