Recently lost my Top level menu with "Bookmarks" that contains a submenu of "Bookmark this page" and when I finally figured out that the Mail Menu bar was not checked . . when I checked it the Top Menu appeared but the sub-menu "Bookmark this page" was not there.

Is that possible? I don't see any way to undo it.

You may have an extension that has removed that menu item.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
