I had this issue using FF 5.0, I fixed it by doing the following :

  1. Go to firefox button, select options, options.
  2. Find all the applications that are listed as Adobe
  3. Change the action from 'Use Adobe Reader (in FireFox)' to 'Use Adobe Reader'

Fixed :)
