Have you inquired at ParetoLogic?

ParetoLogic is most likely removing the icons. Maybe there is a setting that you can change.

Yeah, most definitely it is ParetoLogic's program that is zapping the icons. I did do the "on-line" chat with someone, but to no avail. I will try submitting a request to the link you provided.

Favicons are stored in the places.sqlite file in your Profile folder, along with the corresponding bookmark.
