My wife's Thunderbird application seems stalled . All I can see is the blue rotating circle. No emails after August 30 2022 will download . And the upper left hand corner has a period that is continually moving right to left and back again. She set up the email yesterday because her android phone was easier to use (Har, har). Gmails server apparently downloaded 13, 598 emails yesterday (8-30) and hasn't downloaded any since that date.. What's going on. She's attempting to renew her Green card and I'm more that a little concerned.

/edit: moved thread from Firefox to Thunderbird section.

Just a guess, but google has a daily bandwidth usage limit. I don't know what it is, but things stop working for a day after you reach it. A couple of days have passed now, so has there been any change?

No, it's still stalled. Went to Gmail site and got the needed emails. The ubiquitous blue circle is still rotating w/o any resolution. I cannot understand it. It's bonkers! We solved the Green Card application and are now waiting for the INS bureaucracy to grind through to conclusion. But the Thunderbird app is still messed up.

This happened to me, as well.

When I click on any other folder beside "In", the blue circle goes away. When I choose to write an email...the "blue circle" goes away.

But, as soon as I go back to the "In" box, the blue circle appears, and spins endlessly. I haven't received any new mail, in several days.

I can no longer use this program for email and now have to go to the website of my webhost, for all my mail needs.
