How do I make the toolbars actually hide in fullscreen mode on MacOS?

I'm trying Firefox on MacOS and from what I understand, the toolbars should hide in full screen mode and appear only on mouse over. Except they do not.

I tried a clean profile, but to no avail. On Windows it works, though.

Any idea what am I doing wrong? I guess I could use some extension, but shouldn't it work with vanilla Firefox the same way on both platforms?

Ok, never mind, I stumbled upon this thread which seems to explain it as a bug with a workaround.

Thank you.

Hi, michal

You can also try this extension:

Fullscreen Plus https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/fullscreen_plus/
