Wasn't even able to take any actions in TBird this morning. It just crashed. submitted report and restart Tbird. Crashes again. quit Tbird. restart. still crashes. All crash reports have the same reason, EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_WRITE

Is there a fix for this, or is there a way to roll-back to the previous version? I just updated Tbird yesterday or maybe it was the day before.

Here is the original crash id (which has all my system info, etc): bp-216148f2-db82-4f0c-a775-f2a1d0181013

Chosen solution

Hi Wayne. Thanks for your quick reply.

Yes, I'm special that way--I always get the unique stuff.  :)

I should have tried just normal rebooting before I posted. That was apparently all I needed (wasn't paying attention and missed getting into safe mode, so tried starting Tbird).

So, all is good and this can be closed.

Thank you again!

Out of probably a couple million users, based on the install dates listed I'd say you are the only one with this crash signature https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/signature/?product=Thunderbird&signature=ResolveModuleObjectProperty&date=%3E%3D2018-09-13T06%3A43%3A03.000Z&date=%3C2018-10-20T06%3A43%3A00.000Z&_columns=date&_columns=product&_columns=version&_columns=build_id&_columns=platform&_columns=reason&_columns=address&_columns=install_time&_sort=-date&page=1 That's a unique honor :) But little comfort.

Start *Windows'* safe mode with networking enabled - win7 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17419/windows-7-advanced-startup-options-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-7

Still In Windows safe mode, start thunderbird in safe mode - https://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird
