I was able to import my Bookmarks from Chrome. On Chrome, most had little icons next to their title. These are the tiny picture icon that a site places next to its name on a site. After the import to Firefox, most of the icons did not transfer. But, I did see one. Don't have time to go through all of them. When the Import box displayed, it showed 3 choices; History, Cookies, Bookmarks. I selected only Bookmarks. Do you know if the icons would be in "cookies"? I didn't think so, as I delete cookies frequently. Puzzled why icons are missing. All I see are little empty boxes to left of each Bookmark.

Chosen solution

You can visit a bookmark to make Firefox retrieve the favicon.

Try to reload the favicons with the FavIcon Reloader extension You can find "Reload Favorites Icons" in the Bookmarks menu.

Thank you, cor-el. As you suggested, I clicked on each bookmark, and Firefox then retrieved some of the icons. Didn't work for all, though, so had to delete old bookmark and make a new one. Also learned that many don't even have an icon. Sure was time consuming; wonder why so many icons didn't import. (I did not take the extension, as I'm leery of them.)
