See if there's a Mozilla Firefox directory in C:\Program Files (x86). if so and there are files in that directory you should be able to reinstall Firefox without losing your preferences.

You should also be able to run it by typing "Firefox" at a DOS prompt. If it runs, then just create icons yourself.
