I've had a new SSD installed to replace my hard disc and when re-installing Thunderbird I cannot set up my virginmedia email account. I get a message "configuration could not be verified - is the username or password wrong?

My username and password are correct and I can sign into my email account via the virginmedia web page normally.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for your help guys. I deleted the account which Tbird helped me create as the default settings were wrong, and created an account manually in alignment with the settings given on the VirginMedia website.

All is now well - relief :)

Thank you :)
