I configured my new email in the existing profile, and all the previous mails were suddenly gone. It is there in the xxxx.default folder. How do I restore?

I shifted to the new domain and new email address. I successfully tried to configure my new email id in the existing profile of Thunderbird. Suddenly all my mails vanished from the screen and new mails from the new email id started downloading.

All I could do was find my previous mails in the xxxx.default folder but could not access them. I have important mails in the previous account, but don't know how to access.

Please suggest.
