Is there an add-on available that will allow me to turn Javascript on and off quickly, like we were able to do on the old version? There are many times, when browsing the web, that you encounter a site that abuses Javascript. You can tell because the computer is slowed to a crawl. It's convenient to be able to turn Javascript off, obtain the information that's relevant, and then turn it back on after closing the tab. This is a particular problem with some links provided at cnn.com, but I've noticed it on other sites as well. Having to go into about:config is a multistep process requiring several mouse clicks, and some scrolling, every time you turn JS on or off. Hope you can help. This has been very frustrating ever since Firefox made the decision to eliminate this feature. I think you would have more complaints if more people had known about this feature in the first place. I found it by accident on the old version of FF, and was amazed at how it improved my browsing experience.

You can browse through the Firefox Add-ons Website and search for a JavaScript blocker.

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. (You'll need to be on the latest version of Firefox to submit feedback). Your feedback gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/, where a team of people read it and gather data about the most common issues.
