When I go to youtube.com, it does not display page correctly. Instead of the page being filled, everything is compressed to the left side, approximately 1/5 of the page. I am able to open the page correctly in Chrome. I do not recall having this problem in prior versions of FireFox.

I tried to attach a screen shot of what I am seeing, but do not see a place to attach it and it will not paste in this window.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Are you using a bookmark in Firefox to get to YouTube when that happens?

If not ....Try the Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.
A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.
Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Firefox SafeMode

When in Safe Mode...

  • The status of plug-ins is not affected.
  • Custom preferences are not affected.
  • All extensions are disabled.
  • The default theme is used, without a persona.
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored.
  • The default toolbar layout is used.
  • The JIT Javascript compiler is disabled.
  • Hardware acceleration is disabled.

  • You can open the Firefox 15.0+ SafeMode by holding the Shft key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • Or use the Help menu item, click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled... while Firefox is running.

To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

Or it might be caused by Hardware Acceleration.

When you figure out what is causing that, please let us know. It might help other user's who have that problem.

I am not using a shortcut or bookmark to access youtube.com. I also tried to access that page in safe mode and have the same issue. I also went into my history and deleted any youtube links from today, but that did not work either.

I have attached a pic of what I am seeing.

It looks like a page zoom issue. Firefox remembers page zoom settings for each site, try resetting page zoom. To do that, with the site on display hold down the control key and press 0 (number zero)

For more details on Firefox zoom options see this support article - Font size and zoom - increase the size of web pages
