I have 10 open tabs on a single topic, and I want to bookmark all of them at once, creating a new bookmark folder. Firefox 3 had this feature, but now I can't find it in version 4 (I just upgraded).

You can access bookmark all tabs by right-clicking on a tab, or use the keyboard shortcut Control+Shift+D

Perfect! Thanks.

Now I just have to wonder who saw fit to remove this from the main Bookmarks menu? It's not an operation on a single tab -- so right-clicking on any ONE tab to bookmark ALL tabs is not very intuitive, IMO.

Some menu entries are hidden by default and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu.

  • Bug 626825 - Hide redundant menu commands unless the user invokes the menu using the keyboard (make use of the openedWithKey attribute)

You can see the difference if you use Alt+F or Alt+B to open the "File" and "Bookmarks" menu and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by pressing Alt or by pressing F10.

  • "Bookmark All Tabs" (Shift+Ctrl+D) no longer shows in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
  • "Bookmark This Page" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of that browser page.
  • "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.

Wow! Now that's VERY interesting!

It's like designing your software to require a secret decoder ring.  :-)

THANKS!
