Serious issues after recent Firefox update.
After the latest update I could not access any websites
I thought it was the VPN I just installed, so I uninstalled it, but that still did not fix the problem.
I did 3 system restores and still it did not fix the problem.
My browser had changed and I spent hours trying to sort this problem out.
I uninstalled Firefox and then re-installed but still had problems connecting to the web.
Then when I was going to uninstall Firefox again with a special program, it gave two choices, uninstall or repair. I selected repair and sure enough I could access the web
All my browser extensions on tool bar had disappeared
The tool bar was full of junk, so I used Customised Toobar and finally fixed the problem.
I have disabled auto updates
Thank you Firefox for the inconvenience you caused , but I forgive you, because I consider you provide the best browser to use for access to web

Hello,
I'm sorry to hear that you encountered issues after the recent Firefox update. It seems you went through a lot of troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem. I'm glad you were able to fix it by selecting the repair option during the uninstall process. Sometimes updates can cause unexpected changes, and it's great that you shared your experience with Customised Toolbar to help others facing similar issues. As a Firefox support volunteer, I appreciate your dedication to helping others with their browser concerns. Remember, the Firefox Support Forum is here to assist you whenever you need it. Happy browsing!
Hi Shaun, trying to put the pieces together here. I think this is the problem you solved on your own as described in your "Update" post at https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1419878
If it's still a problem, please continue here at https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1419735 instead of starting a new question.
By the way, the "Repair" sounds like a Firefox Refresh. Your old profile folder with settings/data/add-ons would have been moved to your Windows desktop inside a folder named Old Firefox Data. If you notice anything important missing, you might be able to find it in there.
