Hello Carol,

I hope this finds you well.

I would first check to see if you have the setting for Auto fill checked on:

  1. Go to Settings on the iPad
  2. Tap Passwords
  3. Select AutoFill Passwords and make sure it is checked ON
  4. Deselect iCloud Keychain and Select Firefox

Make sure you clear your caches to see if that helps at all:

  1. Tap the three lines all the way to the right of the search bar
  2. Select Settings
  3. Scroll down to Privacy
  4. Select Data Management
  5. Check Cache and Cookies and make sure all others are unchecked so you don't lose that data
  6. Tap Clear Private Data

If the issue persists, please kindly respond with what is meant by your last sentence in your question. I am unsure if you went through these methods.
