Could you be a bit more specific, please : What exactly doesn't work with Firefox  ?

Have you enabled cookies for that site   ?

Page info   ('i' icon) => More Information => Permissions



Also :   Clear the cache :

3-bar menu => Options => Advanced Under the 'Network' mini tab : 'Cached Web Content' : 'Clear now'

when i try to transfer money out of my ameriprise account to my bank account amerprise software will not accept transaction in firefox. i call them and they have me go to chrom and it then works?

Go the the site of Ameriprise. You see that   'i'  in a circle,   at the left end of the location bar   (next to the padlock)   ? Click on that   (or on the padlock,   that has the same affect). Then click on that little black arrow,   and at the bottom you'll see : 'More Information'  -   click on that. Then at the top,   click on   "Permissions'.

Scroll down till you find   'Set Cookies'   and click   'Allow'.

And now you can close that menu. You have allowd cookies for that site.

Did you clear the cache   ?

Two things   Amerisprise tells people to do :

1) Allow cookies for their site, 2) Clear the browser's cache.
