I keep getting a "Media Player out of date" but my security says it is a fake, how can I tell if it actually is ot of date?

I continually get "Fire Fox video player is out of date" Or Media Player is out of date.. The "about FF" says it is up to date, Adobe Player is up to date.. I clicked on the"Up Date Now" but security said it was a fake..

Is it or isn't it required ?

hello, could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...
