FF goes to the correct address, but a box comes up that says ff will not allow the page to load. There is a sign in box for me to sign in to "my,yahoo.com" and then it goes to the homepage. The address for my homepage is correct, but will not load until I sign in. This never has happened on my desktop. How can I get around this? Every time I leave and come back, I have go do this.

Thanks~MLJ

Is your home page a Yahoo page? Cannot think of any other reason except maybe an unusual type of spyware.

Your settings show; browser.startup.homepage: https://my.yahoo.com/#

Change it to just; https://my.yahoo.com

Type about:preferences#general<Enter> in the address bar.

There are two settings;

  • When Firefox Starts

When the browser is started, what do you want to display. Many of us choose Show My Home Page.

  • Home Page

When a new page is opened, what do you want displayed.

  1. Use Current Page. Use what ever page(s) are open at that time.
  2. Use Bookmark
  3. Restore To Default. about:home shows a Mozilla home page with tools.

You can use any of these that you wish;

about:home (Firefox default home page), about:newtab (shows the sites most visited), about:blank (a blank page),

or you can enter any web page or about: page you want.
