First try with v.29 was full of problems so I went back to v.28. Is there a later v29?
I keep getting "offered" the upgrade back to v.29. I surely want to do that but not until or unless there's been some change in the past ten days.
Among the problems I had were lack of ability to move among tabs, sluggish operation, links not uh.. linking.
I don't know what date the current 29.0.1 (I think) came out. Is it newer than May 11?
I'm pretty sure I know the (negative) answer to this but - is it possible to install both 28 and 29 on the same machine?
Also, do I cause any issues/problems if I use a portable v.29 on a PC with v.28 installed?

It is, but that's best left to advanced users. In a nutshell, it involves three things:
- The different versions of Firefox must be installed in separate folders.
- You must use the Profile Manager to create separate profiles for the different versions.
- You must create separate shortcuts to launch the different versions, and append a space followed by -p ProfileName -no-remote at the end of the Target line, so that it reads something like
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -p fx29 -no-remote

Using Firefox Portable Edition is a good idea. It has its own separate profile, so it won't affect your regular Firefox data or add-ons.
