When I click on any of my bookmarks, I always get a BBC web site. Also my headlines area also gets nothing but BBC news. I erased all my bookmarks and started over but the problem is back. How do I correct the problem? And stop something like this from happening again.

It is not a virus, the file that stores bookmarks is likely to be damaged. For details of how to fix that see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locked_or_damaged_places.sqlite
