Firefox does not open in safe mode and from the menu bar it will not quit ...... I have to go to the dock and right clic to force quit.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, to try terminal as instructed

It will not open in safe mode

What now ?

Try doing a "clean install" of Firefox:

  1. Force quit Firefox
  2. Drag Firefox (in Applications) to Trash, and empty trash
  3. Download Firefox again from http://www.mozilla.com and re-install.
