I hate the search bar at the top of the screen I would perfer it at the bottom or as low as possible. I am not using a phone, tablet or laptop but a desktop with a 24" monitor.

If you are using Firefox 57, the Search Bar is hidden in the Customize palette and can be moved to the toolbars, but you can't place it any lower that the Bookmarks Toolbar. The Location Bar (or URL Bar as some users call it) is a "combination bar" that can do Searches as well as typing URL's and providing browsing history, so Mozilla has taken to hiding the separate Search Bar by default now. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customize-firefox-controls-buttons-and-toolbars

But it's difficult to move the Search Bar any lower than the Bookmarks Toolbar, without using userChrome.css customization - the code for which I have no idea; or even whether userChrome can "place" the separate Search Bar any lower (not a customization that interests me to "test") - which if it can be moved down it would be at the bottom of the browser window. So if that interests you - you would need help with that from someone around here who is more "fluent" with userChrome.css that I am, and probably later today.
