my browsing history has deleted itself after security update FF 57

Please can somebody HELP!! I was using firefox 57 and had 4 tabs open. i pressed the x top right hand corner confirmed close all tabs, Then FF ran a small update that took a few seconds. This is the updade info... Firefox 57.0.1 {20171128222554} Security Update... after a few seconds the green bar filled and update was done. i opened firefox and to my horror all my browing history is gone. about 8 months worth. i love FF not so sure about 57 but in genaral have always used it. this is now the 3rd time FF has deleted my browsing history after an update or for no apparant reason. and im geting extremely Pi$$ED off with it. i need my history back its important, any help would be greatfully appriciated. Thanks in advance

It's gone. Once deleted it is gone. Sorry.

Thanks for responding. This must be one of there fantatic new upgrades to Firefox 57, a 3 second update wipes your entire browsing history. what a fabulous new feature, Well done all. No wonder everybodys reverting back to older versions. should of listend when everyone said FF 57 is SH!T....

@Domin8tor, unfortunately since you gave no FF version or if it was x86 or x64 there is no way to really answer that question. Til more is given not much can be found.

after that update my history was gone. its x86 by the way. anything else you need to know please ask. thanks for your help
