Hi, Can I safely renew my accounts and save my existing messages/emails? I have noticed that in more than 1 email account, messages are being downloaded twice or more, so that I have duplicate messages. In the root directory, I saw that I have more accounts than that there are for real. I think this is why messages keep being duplicated. I remember having difficulties in the past with installing accounts and their details when I reinstalled Thunderbird. Look at the image for an example of the duplicate messages.

Thanks, Dan

You can move messages you want to keep to your 'Local Folders' account prior to deleting any duplicate accounts.

I have done what you described, but there seems to be an error in thunderbird, the problem still exists. Is there a way to only save the existing emails and reinstall Thunderbird all over again. Everything exept the emails being deleted (no settings or whatever), could that be done?
