I just did a factory reset on my laptop and just before, I synced all my bookmarks, history etc. so i can recover this later. I needed to view some bookmarks so I syned eveything onto my sisters laptop temporarily. Went away for a minute, came back and she had restored all her bookmarks and synced them to my account not realising it was mine. Is there anyway I can get back all my bookmarks?

I tried the whole profile bookmarkbackup thing but only her original bookmarks are there - theres no trace of any of mine and my laptop has been reset so theres nothing there either. Is there anyway I can view a history of all the sync's i have done and restore it that way? I had alot of important bookmarks so any help will be much appreciated!

Hmm, that sounds bad. I don't use Sync, so can't answer about whether it has any undo/rollback capability.

When you did the system reset, did you end up with a folder named:

C:\Windows.old\

That's a folder created by some Windows reinstallation approaches, and generally would contain your entire old Firefox profile folder (hidden, but discoverable).

Just checked and there isn't a windows.old folder :-(

If no better ideas come along, you could try:

Ideally you would find a file name similar to

bookmarks-2014-09-...

which would contain an older backup.

If your sister sync her machine to your account, they both might be still there. Create a new profile, and sync to the account. Check what you get.
