Several days ago, I stopped receiving email. I have friends telling me that they get an "inbox full" message when they try to send email. I have no problems sending. How do I troubleshoot this?

originally had 1 imap account on my linux mint installation now have 2 accounts and get a pop error msg and no emails since DEC 2023 iF I DELETE TB and reinstall will we loose all our mail, contacts and etc or which account do we delete so as only to have imap and all past mail and etc regards

Hi - After the June 25 update, my T-Bird mail program is not connecting my Roadrunner email accounts. T-Bird does still connect to GMail. Verified the server setting with TWC. Please let me know what other troubleshooting steps to take. Thank you - Gina

This new version of Thunderbird (115.12.2) is not the best. The Composition toolbar doesn't exist when typing a new message and I no longer have a menu bar when typing a new message.

Another issue is on replying why do these sideways "V's" show at the beginning of each line of the senders email when replying. Sometimes it will be just a black line all the way down. When I saw those I felt like I had woken up in 1995.

I am using Windows 11 Pro.

I am unable to open my thunderbird emails. It keeps giving me a message "Thunderbird had a problem and crashed" I have sent a message on Monday also and have had no response. This matter is urgent as i cannot access my emails

I am trying to set up an existing Thunderbird email account on a new hardrive I can't remember my password and it does not give me the option to reset password. It wants to send the reset verification code to the email I cannot access without my password I've downloaded Thunderbird email pinned to my startup. When I open it up the 1st dialog box wants full name, email address, and password. I can't go any further to get in to my existing Thunderbird email account.

I need to update an address. All I can find is New Address Book Contact under the Find menu. I am on an M1 Mac Mini running Sonoma 14.5.

One used to be able to access the Address Book under Tools, but no more.

Since Version 115.12.2 update Released June 22, 2024 can receive but not send emails, fails because of outgoing server times out. 'The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.virginmedia.com timed out. Try again.' Virginmedia have tried without sucess to resolve and have informed me Thunderbird installation is corrupted.

As of Sunday, Thunderbird can no longer reach my ATT server to download email. It has behaved for ten to fifteen years. Last time someone at ATT fixed it. I have been on the phone or on screen with ATT most of my waking hours since Sunday. (In the process I lost my internet, my landline, my cell connection, etc.) Everything is restored except the connection between Thunderbird and ATT. Everyone thinks changing my password will do it. Done it four times. It gets me into the ATT mail. I have replaced the password in Thunderbird settings with it to no avail. Is there anything you can think of? Not only is Thunderbird more attractive than ATT, I have thirty years of mail boxes there, a continuation from Eudora. I will appreciate your wisdom.

My TB folder has a few GiBis now.

I am looking forward to loose some kilograms and found that there is a folder "mail/Mail" which contains "Local Folders", which make up 80% of the mess here ;-)

It also contains "smart mailboxes" and a lot of folders which seem to relate to "historical" mail providers of mine. All of these folders seem to be unused except local. Seems they were POP3 folders (except local).

Then there is a folder "mail/ImapMail" which contains my currently used accounts - and some "historical".

Questions: 1) Is there some documentation about this folder mystery? 2) How can I store/export the old mail in mail / ImapMap / local in a HUMAN READABLE and tool-independent form? is there some tool that does this? or at least an API I could call from Java etc? 3) Can I simply manually backup the old folders and remove them? What indexes have to be re-built and how?

I have accidentally deleted Mozilla thunderbird from the storage folder and now cannot access my emails in or out. How can I resolve this, please? I am desperate, thinking I have lost all my stored emails over 12x years!?

Hello, I cannot login to IMAP server on my Thunderbird mailbox - each time I receive a communicate: "Logowanie na serwerze ssl0.ovh.net za pomocą nazwy użytkownika „gallab@gallab.info” się nie powiodło." and there are choice options: "Spróbuj ponownie", "Wprowadź nowe hasło" i "Anuluj". I removed passwords stored in Thunderbird password storage, restarted PC and write down right password the problem with login still exists, i.e. login fails and there are still above choice options.
