I am finding more and more sites that I regularly go to are no longer working on firefox. One site was because HTML5 apparently does not work on firefox. But others I don't know about why are no longer working on firefox. I thought it might be streaming related but just today I could not access one of my banks on firefox, and I tried many times, but had no problem signing on using Chrome.

I have a form with a date field. it should open the calendar downwards, and does so in a window with 5 tabs open. however in a window with 60 tabs it opens upwards - thus loosing it's head and the ability to change month and year. it's near the top of the form.

moving the tab from one window and back, without refresh etc, shows the calendar down wards (window with 5 tabs) or upwards (window with 60 tabs)

this is looking to me like a Firefox bug - I wondered if anyone has come across this interesting behaviour?

Why is Firefox refusing to display Instagram videos?

Windows 7 Home Firefox 115.12.0esr (64-bit) Some Instagram videos play, most don't. E.g. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8FM6cbOG7v/?mc_cid=e24e48195f

For a fraction of a second, the video shows what appears to be the initial display frame, then goes black. Audio plays. Displays OK on Chrome and Edge.

I've explored the following: Autoplay is allowed Turn off tracking protection Clear cache Clear cookies Digital Rights Management (DRM) is allowed Running in trouble shoot mode, i.e. no extensions Popups not blocked I do not have file user.js I tried hiding prefs.js. Hardware acceleration either on or off: no display

Is there a setting that tells Firefox to report why it makes its choices?

When the youtube video is opened, it shows the loading circle without any possibility to start a video. After first refresh of the page it shows the thumbnail of the video, but play button still doesn't work. And then after second refresh it sometimes begin to work properly. The problem exists only on Youtube and its videos. Thank you.

I recently installed Firefox and I keep getting crash notices, even when it is not open/running...

I have verified this through the task manager...Nothing named Firefox or Mozilla is running...

I don't have this issue with either Brave or Chrome, and I have, and keep updated ESET software, so I KNOW this is a Firefox issue...

Unless this issue can be corrected, I will have no choice but to uninstall it, as I don't need software that crashes even when it is not being used...

My Firefox browser kept freezing up and acting very slow so I closed it. When I reopened it all my tabs did not repopulate like normal. None of them. I have the box checked to reopen all tabs on restart and it has always worked, not this time. Why! How can I get them back. Thanks, Aldo

In Firefox, after a reboot, how can I re open my previouse sessions?

Originally I had quite a lot of open browsers & tabs. Then I needed to do a reboot, and now I've lost those previouse sessions.

Usually I just open firefox, and this opens one browser, and then all of my previous browser, and tab reopen, but this time firefox crashed, and its popup said it needed to restart, but it would re-open my previous browser and tab, but it didnt.

After following the usuall firefox help giudes, it still wouldn't re open my previouse sessions. Now if I ask it to open my previouse sessions, it just opens the recent help giudes, and not anything before the crash.

So is there a backup file of myu missing sessions that I can roll back to?

hello tried a few things from help docs on line. nothing working. just keeps happening. tabs will say gah. your tab just crashed. works for a bit but once happens.... have to close whole firefox and open again. just started happening yesterday. I have used firefox for many many years never a problem. Something was not updated right. Please tell me how to fix this once and for all. if not I have to leave using firefox this is driving me crazy. terrible. Using Mac OS 10.13.6, Firefox recently updated to 115.0.3, and now the Overdrive app (from the public library) won't download audiobook files anymore. Have tried clearing cache, restarting, removing book files, restarting, and reloading the OD app, etc. The error message is that the app can't connect to the internet. My internet connection is fine - this is only happening with this app. It only started doing this when Firefox updated. I tried loading an earlier version of Firefox but it automatically went to this Beta update channel version. Can you help me go back to an earlier version of Firefox that won't automatically update? (I'm not able to upgrade this Mac, and this OS is the one that Overdrive works with. Firefox was the only browser that worked with Overdrive. Thanks - hope you can help!

Pretty much every video I attempt to play, including https://www.allaboutbirds.org/cams/red-tailed-hawks/# will play the video only when audio is muted. unmute the audio and you get the audio track but the video is paused.

Can't figure this one out, I've seen it only in the last few days (it started when I was using 127.0.0 and continues in 127.0.1)

Chrome and Chromium don't do this.

Suppose that I have a 5 kbyte comment with multiple paragraphs, and I skip around copy and pasting from one place to another, and highlight some sentences and over write them either with typing or pasting. When I go to undo or redo some of these things, it causes a big screw-up in the text.

Other than it being my problem to recompose the damaged sentences, etc, what developers need to be contacted to fix the undo and redo functions of the YouTube comment input text controls for YouTube videos?

I would like to use Firefox as a browser on my Linux Mint device. As I said in the headline, I have set all languages in the system as well as in Firefox to German and uninstalled and reinstalled the dictionary. So when I write something in Firefox it is underlined in red and when I right click for the context menu where word suggestions are made, only English is displayed and if I then scroll down and want to add another language as a spell checker, Firefox sends me to the add-on administration, which didn't help me. Because no matter what I do, only English (USA) is displayed as the language for spelling. Is there perhaps no way to change this, or is there another method?

FF just updated to 127. Every time I open it I get the whole intro shebang about migrating, extensions, etc. When I finally get to "Start Browsing" none of my tabs or bookmarks will load. I have cleared the cache, tried reinstall and no change. What's next, please?

Im using Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Intel cpu I7 9th gen NVIDIA gpu but i disabled it My problem is that the Picture in Picture mode isnt sticky if i press anything it vanishes from view.
