I have been using Thunderbird client to access UNM(University of New Mexico) mail system "lobomail" for years and UNM uses Microsoft Outlook as its preferred client application. Now UNM wants to change its legacy authentication method to modern method named "Outh2". I am able to locate the place to change IMAP setting from "Normal password" to "Outh2", but NOT SMTP which only lists the following options: No Authentication, Normal Password, Encrypted password, Kerberos/GSSAPI & NTLM. Please show me the path to update SMTP authentication to "Oauth2". By the way, my current Thunderbird version is 102.2.0. Thank for your help in advance. Best Regards, Kenneth Ma

what servers are you using for those two selections?

more options

IMAP(Incoming) & SMTP(Outgoing). SMTP is the one doesn't have OAUTH2 setting option. Thanks.

I asked what server you were using. If that was not clear, I was expecting the server names.

Both servers are named "pod51018.outlook.com".
