Thunderbird support is provided on this forum by other Thunderbird users that volunteer their time to answer questions so you do not email anything anywhere. You do like you did and add the screenshot to your post on the forum.

Thunderbird is not designed just for you. If you are not happy with the changes there is other options that you can use.

The new down arrow was added because people never could figure out how to change the TO field to CC or BCC and the x was added by request to be able to remove an address field after it was filled out.

Typing in all capital letter is considered shouting and rude. You might want to find the caps lock key and turn it off.
