Ditto I have the same problem. The Firefox 3.6.15 is even more unstable than 3.6.14. I am still using Firefox 3.6.13 which works with flash absolutely fine. I tried to reinstall the flash, downgrade the flash, install the flash for non-IE none of it worked.
One concern is that 3.6.14 and 3.6.15 contained security fixes.
Is there a way to back to 3.6.13?
Yes, that's concerning. You can simply install 3.6.13 again and select 'update' and it changes back to 3.6.13. It is sad 3.6.15 isn't working properly. I hope they fix the flash issues in Firefox 4.
I removed 3.6.15 and (re) installed 3.6.14 and operation seems to have returned to "normal"!
My solution to flash problem:
what I did was following: 1. backed up my bookmarks 2. uninstalled Firefox 3.6.15 and selected to remove my Firefox settings as well. 3. I made clean installation of Firefox 3.6.15 and I tried also Firefox 4 RC1
Both are working fine. I use the latest flash.
When I deleted 3.6.15 I didn't "remove personal settings. I did save bookmarks and export my passwords (there is an add on for this).
I then installed 3.6.14.
Today I saved passwords and bookmarks again then updated to 3.6.15 and it works!
Is that strange or what?
In any case we both got it working again and mine seems stable now. Previously I not only had problems with flash but had occasional other crashes.
I don't seem to have any of that any more.
Is there a way of people from Mozilla try to find a solution for that ? What do they do ?
my God ! had this problem too, but the following solution on some web site did the job for me: Run Reginout scan for active-x, file associations and other registry errors largely behind such crashes. Try to uninstall the current flash player version. (Read this official guide to uninstall flash plugin: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Use official uninstaller tool to remove all flash elements from your computer. After completing the above task download flash player 9 instead of the latest version. However, latest version is preferred. for latest version visit this link:http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ Sometimes there are intricate browser flash conflicts and changing the versions is often helpful. if you are having problems while installing flash then read this stuff: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html Update your sound drivers if possible since the videos may simply crash or freeze because of the corrupted or missing drivers. 1) Open Device Manager 2) Find the sound-card device 3) Remember the name of the device 4) Uninstall it. 5) After doing this restart your system and update the drivers if they are not automatically updated.
