Troubleshooting Info and Modified Preferences
Why is it that the Troubleshooting Information page does not list all the preference changes that I have made to Firefox in the about:config window? For instance, most of the changes I made to "browser..." are not listed, and none of the changes I added to "ui..." or "signon..." are listed. The setting it gives for Smart Bookmarks is 2, whereas the setting actually being used is 1. What is the point of listing some non-default settings but not all of them?

See lines 48 and 49 here about the "whitelist" --> https://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-release/source/toolkit/content/aboutSupport.js#48

How is showing that I have disabled updates compromising my privacy? How is showing the ui settings compromising my privacy? On the other hand, the home page is listed. Depending on what that is, it might be considered a compromise to privacy to list that.
The statement quoted above from the code is directly from the developers. It is not only about privacy; did you miss the useful for support clause? There is a "sticky" thread near the top of the Contributor's Forum, "The best way to get developer attention", if you need clarification of the "whitelist" of user-set preferences or the explanation in the code which is quoted above. Added information. To see all of your changed preferences (some changed by extensions), open the prefs.js file (in a pure text editor) in your user Profile.

How do the developers decide what is useful for support and what is not? How is reporting the value for Smart Bookmarks incorrectly useful for support or anything else? Why are changes made to the user interface not useful for support? If I make changes to highlights and find the text hard to read afterwards, someone seeing that might pick up on that.
As you know, or should know since you have posted replies in over 600 threads on this forum, everyone here is a user just like yourself. You can submit short comments to developers using the Help > Submit Feedback.
I have no answers for your questions and will not respond to further such questions about specific user set preferences and the Troubleshooting Information display. Enough is enough. You can either
- accept what the developers have decided and work with it,
- post in the Contributors thread previously provided ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors/708157 ) or
- find another browser that fulfills your specific needs.
