I need Firefox 3.0.x for online classes through software called Blackboard.

Tomorrow I start classes and I noticed last week that my classes (4 online) aren't showing up on Blackboard. The IT department told me that I need either Firefox 3.0.x, Safari 3, or Safari 2. Well I had Firefox 6 and Safari 5.1. I can't seem to find a solution. I have tried downgrading and am currently using 3.6.20... it's not working. I have a Mac so the Portable Apps solution doesn't work. I tried downloading Safari 3 but it's only compatible with Leopard but I have Lion. I don't know what else to try (with Firefox or Safari).
