Firefox crashed. Backup bookmarks are still in App. Data. Can I just load a new firefox and still keep my bookmarks? Thanks, Don.

Hi. The Bookmarks Backup file down under App Data is a big mess that seems to contain my Bookmarks.

My Mozilla crashed (using the "go back" tool for another problem). I get a blank sereen with "Mozilla" in the blue bar.

If I reload a new Firefox will it find my bookmarks? Or might it delete them? Suffering with Explorer to talk now. Thanks, Don

You can reinstall Firefox without losing the data in your Firefox Profile Folder

I would advice to delete the current Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) in such a case to make sure that so leftover files are causing problem and avoid other problems with replacing (overwriting) files.

If you keep having problems then create a new profile.

See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile:

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

Thanks so much. With confidence I got from you I saved a recent bookmarks backup file, then just went to Firefox and downloaded a new. It found and installed my original bookmarks and all SEEMS fine. Again thank you, , Don.
