How to keep passwords from being deleted after disconnecting from Firefox Sync?

Recently reinstalled Windows and used Sync to migrate all data. After disconnecting from Sync all saved passwords were removed. Is there a way to keep them without being connected to Sync?

That looks weird.

Open this chrome URI by pasting or typing this URI in the location/address bar to open the "Add Security Exception" window and check the certificate:

  • chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul

In the location field type/paste the URL of the website

  • retrieve the certificate via the "Get certificate" button
  • inspect the certificate via the "View..." button

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

I am sorry, I did not understand which certificate to check?

All malware detection scans were negative.

Additional info: Now Sync does not delete my passwords. Chrome seems to have logged me out too as a result of an attempt for information access.

Most likely cause was installing Comodo Firewall, which comes bundled with Comodo's web browser Dragon. Installation of Dragon and deactivation of Sync was on the same instance of FF running. Dragon most likely tried to access FF (and Chrome's) data, which resulted in FF losing the passwords and Chrome logging me out.
