What is this SmartLink?
About a week ago I started noticing some words on most sites were linked. Strange words like "lower back pain" on a forum I visited someone was talking about those shoes "Sketchers". One of the replies had those words in a sentence and they were linked. The writer didn't do it I know. But it's like that. Words at random linked to I am guessing a Wikipedia type site. I won't visit because I am afraid it is a virus I have or something. Has anyone else heard of something like this? Is it a FF thing?

Ok I found out what it is..sorry. It is from URLFixer. I don't think I like it either. Must have been a recent update or something because it wasn't like that before.
This solved it !!!!
Go to 'tools', 'add-ons', click on 'URL-fixer' and 'disable'.
Mahalo.
I had this problem and did not have URL-fixer installed, but a bit of further research found that an add-on:
"SkipScreen has partnered with SmartLinks to bring you better links"
If you check out these two links, they give a full explanation of SmartLinks and how to disable it if you don't want this "feature".
