My Thunderbird email account always asked for a password to contact host. This request for password has disappeared the last coupleof days .The email is working fine. A couple of weeks ago I had a request from mozilla thunderbird to agree to an update alowing change in the computer . I agreed. Could this resulted in loss of password request ? I have a Thunderbird calendar as part of my Thunderbird email service on my laptop. It is not a Google calendar. I can see my Thunderbird email on my Android phone, but not my Thunderbird calendar.

When I go to the Calendar tab on my phone when in Thunderbird, it shows me a Google calendar, not my Thunderbird calendar.

What do I need to do to see my Thunderbird calendar on my phone?

I have a large Gmail inbox with about 260,000 messages collected over many years. After setting up the account as IMAP it took several days to download the full messages ("Syncing").

However, even after the syncing of all 260,000 has completed, I get a message in the Status bar that messages are downloading again; e.g Downloading message xx of 40,707 in Inbox...

After done, and a few hours later, it start gain, now Downloading message xx of 7,149 in Inbox... This keeps going on during the day with different remaining numbers in the inbox (increasing and increasing numbers).

I am not sure what triggers the download. Maybe when I look at another Inbox and then return to this Gmail inbox(?)

How can I troubleshoot this? Is there some way to find which messages are downloading? I am assuming that the same messages are downloading multiple times (I am receiving less that 50 messages/day).

I am using Betterbird 115.14.0-bb31 (64-bit) on Windows 7. When the messages are downloading the CPU goes very high and the program (and PC ) become unresponsive.

Help! My main email address and another one no longer are listed when I open Thunderbird. I tried to reinstall my main email but was prompted that it already exists. I have not received any email since 7/23/2024. My main email is belaflom@belaflom.com.

hey, After the last 2 updates, my quick filtering (ctrl+shift+K) broke. It works very slowly, it freezes the entire program. Is there any way to fix this? I work on Windows 10, regularly updated

I have 10 email accounts in my Thunderbird 115.12.2 (64-bit) and I am using Microsoft Windows 10 Pro and all my sent, draft, archives and templates are going into a different folder. I want them to go into the folder from which the email was sent but they are all going into the email tinakeeling@att.net.

I have changed it to reflect the correct folder but then a few days later and every time I restart Thunderbird the program changes the folders back to tinakeeling@att.net

I have even unchecked the box "place a copy in" and when Thunderbird is restarted it reverts back.

What can I do to fix this issue?

I'm trying to install Thunderbird on my new PC as I can no longer use Outlook (thanks Microsoft). I use Spectrum for my email (rbaldwin2@woh.rr.com), and I'm not able to get Thunderbird to work. It seems that Thunderbird has set a checkmark for the new feature Attach VCF to the messages I send. But I think that programs should never change my settings without explicitly telling me. It is now unticked.

Thumderbird asked if it could compact folders. Said yes. Now all that shows is the title line for all emails in inbox, but NO content displayed.

Can still see content in emails that are in other folders, seems to be only inbox that will not show content of the emails

New emails arriving will show content as well as some old old emails in inbox

In attempting to address inbox message duplication in Thunderbird (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1453812#answer-1666737), I've been systematically deleting thousands of old emails from my inbox, followed by a folder compacting.

Now, many of the remaining messages are unreadable. Most appear to be blank /empty, while some appear as gibberish text. I've tried repairing the folder using the tool in Folder Properties. That may have made the problem worse.

Each time I open the program it starts downloading all emails from the beginning, it takes hours and days. Even when it's done it starts again from the beginning. I have used this program for many years, but this problem happened in the last few weeks, it's crazy slow

Strangely, I can't figure out how to add to someone else's post if it doesn't already have replies so I'm having to start my own thread. Anyway...

Thunderbird on my system is 32-bit on 32-bit Windows and a day or two ago it updated itself to version 115.10.1. Since then it's been slow at sending emails, receiving emails, applying filters and pretty much everything else. Is this being worked on? I saw a couple of similar reports from other people here but like I said, I can't add a reply to them.

And if it's not known about or being worked on, is there some way I can roll back an update?

My cox emails opened in Thunderbird until a few days ago. Now a popup window asks for the password for each account. I checked the "security" section, and all of the passwords are saved. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Not sure if this is Thunderbird or Windows 11. I use to be able to go to a web page in a browser and share it via "Send to Mail" Extension. It would open my default email program and a new email with the URL of the page I'm on already in the message area of the new email. It is not working now, likely since I upgraded to Win 11.I've been to the Default Apps settings and set all mail extensions to Thunderbird and the problem remains. It doesn't matter what browser I use, I've tried 3 different ones. My default browser is Firefox and it is up to date. I've tried other Mail To extensions in all the browsers and none work. When I try to do this, I see a message that says opening Default Mail Handler, then nothing happens, nothing opens. All I can do is copy the URL of the page I want to send and paste it into a new email I've opened by manually opening Thunderbird.

Suggestion are appreciated.
