I recently changed the Privacy & Security settings in Firefox v100.0.2 (Mac) to "Enable HTTPS-Only Mode in all Windows". Since that change, even though Google is my default search engine, all searches take me to a window that says: "You’ve enabled HTTPS-Only Mode for enhanced security, and a HTTPS version of www.searchbaron.com is not available." I did a google search and the recommendation was to delete the searchbaron extension in Extensions but there isn't one there. I like the security of only going to https sites and if possible would like to keep that setting.

Does anyone know what is going on and how I can fix this? Thanks.

So i used glassmorphism on a simple webapp (backdrop-filter). Wrote a Fallback for firefox with the help of ::before and filter:blur() as backdrop-fillter's are sadly still not supported, eventhough they look really really nice.

How ever the fallback works on macOS as expected but on Windows Firefox behaves very very wierd. First of all the blured effect is behind everything else and you have to change the z-index to actually see it and if you do it is actually much larger than it should be. If you play around with the z-indexes you actually get the blur at the right position but the area is still much larger than on mac and not fitting the border at all and after a few hours of trying, I'm not sure if this is a bad by me or not. Kinda feels like it shouldnt behave like that.

In running version 100.0.2 (64-bit) and recently started getting the below error in Jenkins No valid crumb was included in the request(have been running Jenkins for over 2 years and never had this issue)

When I switch over to a Private Window the issue no longer occurs.

I tried the exact same webpage in Chrome browser and it works without having to go to a private mode.

Any Ideas ?

I have several webpages that are saved on mac using firefox with option that "save page completely".(right-click, save page, webpage-complete). I have both same name htm file and folder which contents saved in on windows PC, on same directory. I also checked all images and files inside folder is saved correctly. When I click .htm file on windows, only text is displayed, no image and simple js is not displayed. I previously checked save complete page functions properly on mac.

Hello, I was reinstalling my OS, and I didn't create recovery code for my data to retrieve it after (which I found out after reinstalling my OS) on my Mozilla Firefox account, I had a lot of passwords, bookmarks and data that I need to recover, also for my full time job a lot of valuable data which I have lost now. I couldn't find any email address so I can address my concern directly, It's why I am posting here. Please help, I am so lost now. Hi, I'm wanting to add QANTAS Shopping Points-Prompter to my add-ons. It says that it is available for Firefox but each time I try I get 'Oops, we can't find that page'. I've been liaising with QANTAS and they say there is no issue at their end, and I have downloaded it with other programs i.e. Chrome. Can you assist me please as I would prefer to use Firefox but that won't be possible if I can't get this add-on.

Hey there, I'm having trouble with Firefox. Something inside Firefox is eating up my RAM and CPU. Usually I recognize the problem happening because my laptop fans ramp up. The problem occurs on my laptop as well on my desktop (both on latest stable Firefox[Build ID: 20220513165813] and Windows 11). The workaround is to kill the Firefox subprocess which is using most of the CPU and RAM. Then everything is back to normal for some time, until Firefox starts messing with me again.

While trying to pinpoint the problem I'm stuck. I can't find a culprit other than the fact it has something to do with Firefox. Clean reinstalling did not help. The Firefox Task Manager doesn't know anything about huge amounts of RAM being taken. I searched for solutions on the net and the about:memory indicates the problem is some IPC related stuff:

The bug reporting guidelines(https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=bug-writing.html) are encouraging me to attach steps to reproduce and try the steps listed on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-uses-too-much-memory-or-cpu-resources . But I've exhausted the steps there (Except for upgrading the PC / RAM).

Especially on the go this Firefox-RAM-Party takes quite some battery and right now while writing this Firefox has >100GB virtual RAM reserved for some IPC messages, I personally think this is too much. So I'd like to file a report, but without steps to reproduce I'm afraid the developers are going to say 'well, that's something we are not able to diagnose', because I am unable to explain how to reproduce it. It just happens from time to time.

Do you have a clue where I might find out who sends those IPC messages, and therefore who is responsible for this?

Up until the latest updates a week or two ago, UPS tracking worked fine. However, with version 100.x, UPS stopped working. All is get is the error message, "We are unable to complete your tracking request at this time. Please try again later.". I tried other older tracking numbers that I know are good, and the same error. However, UPS tracking using Chrome or Explorer/Edge works fine.

I could blame UPS, but both Chrome and Explorer/Edge does work.

Apparently, Firefox is sending a (buggy) request that UPS doesn't like.

Whenever I use web-applications that use WebGL or anything similar, they are always distorted. And yes, I have tried disabling Performance Settings, but that only slightly helped.

I clicked on 'block cookies' option( never seen this before but I trust you guys so....) when I logged onto firefox this morning, since then there are various apps I cannot get on to, eg Twitter, my banking through Nationwide, very frsutrating. So I tried to set a restore point prior to thios morning but that made no dofference, getting desperate now.

Random videos will not load following 100.0.2 install.

These symptoms started @ May 21. (See attached file "Recently installed")

Scrolling down the Reddit page, videos will auto-play when exposed, and stop when scrolled past.

A video not loading/playing will occur on different posts/videos, but will ALWAYS occur. Once this occurs some previously exposed / played videos, when scrolling up, will play when exposed again, and some will not.

This will also randomly occur on Youtube (also observed on Twitter a few times) when multiple tabs are open. Sometimes closing other open tabs corrects the problem. Other times closing Firefox and relaunching is required and is 100% effective.

I have additional diag data / Inspector log files and page source if needed.

Why is it Chrome you could have three extensions and still have high speed performance of chrome when loading, but when you have three extensions on firefox it loads slow when opening up the browser?

I use a touch screen HP laptop. And when I shopping or just reading news and there is a picture on the page or site it pops up, even if I do not touch it. I can not see the text behind it. I know it is a setting some here because if i go to trouble shooting mode it does not happen. i have checked and unchecked every thing I can fine and nothing helps but trouble shooting mode. So when I close out and reopen Firefox trouble back. I have not tried other browsers because I only like Firefox

The last bunch of updates FF has only gotten worse. There are so many websites I use to be able to access and now they only function partially or lad weirdly that I am being forced to another browser. So sad. Why do they mess with something that worked?
