I've been looking for a solution to an annoying problem for a while now but I can't figure it out. When I reply to an email from Thunderbird the quoted text should be hidden in the recipient's client but instead it appears as a normal text making my emails too long and annoying for the recipient. Is there a way to get around this problem?

Hello, recently I switched to this browser from another browser for some specific reason and I noticed that dropdown menu is way too big compared to my previous browser. Is there any way to fix it and make it more compact? To better explain you what I mean, see those screenshots: First screenshot is on Firefox, second screenshot with exact webpage is on Vivaldi browser. You can see vast difference how compact is Vivaldi dropdown menu compared to Firefox.

Hi, When receiving an email I want to reply by making a text comments in the received text, with clear identification of what is my new addition. E.g. by starting my lines with my initials and a new colour of my comments. I.e. An in-text-dialogue Is this possible to configure in Thunderbird? Br / Gunnar Sjolander

Restore gadget screen width to default 1/3 of screen, not 1/2. Gadgets are now too wide for easy reading, they were always 1/3 of the screen until recently. Did I inadvertently make that change, or was it part of some update?

This issue is happening with every newly installed add-on, but not with add-ons installed on or before Aug 3, 2024. The add-ons are installed via addons.mozilla.org. To rule out the possibility that it's happening only with specific add-ons, I also installed one of the random recommendations on that page, Augmented Steam which has 54,248 users, and it happens with that one as well.

I'll click Enable, but the prompt appears every time I restart Firefox.

What I've tried (with a restart after each attempt):

• Clear the startup cache
• Delete extensions.json
• Delete compatibility.ini
• Via about:config deleted extensions.databaseSchema and extensions.getAddons.databaseSchema
• Excluded Add-ons from syncing

I've noticed the following in extensions.json for each of the recent add-ons after restart:

• syncGUID changes to presumably random new value
• active changes from true to false
• userDisabled changes from false to true
• seen changes from true to false

The blinking indicator of where the next character is to be typed in is over 15 characters long and it is annoying. I need to know how to get it sized to one character width like it used to be before the last update of TB. I have searched settings and I have not found how to correct it. Since it is blinking, I can not take a screenshot to show it, I can say that the last update of TB messed up a lot of settings and how it operates. Image is of my current version of TB.

bold textdownloading only produces " .part " files in my downloads directory. I had previously attempted a large file download but error message said it was not completed. Now cannot download anything

When opening a pdf file to print, the setting at the top defaults to "Automatic Zoom". Can this default setting be changed to actual size? Some pdf's won't print the whole page, leaving part of the right side off.

I mistakenly dragged a text from a search box and dropped it on my browser page. If this text is a url (Ex: www.some_site.com), Firefox will navigate to that page. How do I prevent Firefox from opening dropped links on pages?

For some reason no matter how hard I try I am unable to change the display language of my Firefox account. Not my browser, my specific Firefox account.
