Hello, I am hoping to escape the Apple + Google search world and am trying out Firefox, which I used to use many years ago.

How do I / Can I show my Safari "Favorites" on the homepage of Firefox? A simple, obvious question, but I have not found an answer in your files.

No answers to how to do this, even googling. The best I get is to click on the 3-vertical-dots icon next to the intended address's url field. No such icon exists, nor it to be found in "Customize Tools"

Macbook Air, M1 — 12.6.8 Firefox 129.0.2

In the last few days, a transparent rectangular panel is showing up in the upper right hand corner when I open certain websites--Washington Post, The Nation, and Talking Points Memo, and this morning Kanopy and the Zojirushi website. It often covers functions like login and search. I can *see* the buttons, but I can't click them through the transparent panel.

Have a new 2024 macbook pro m3 max with 128GB internal memory, 8tb ssd, macos (meest recente update) , and glass fibre internet connection of 1gb up and 1gb down and have used the same router and same ISP.

i use firefox in combination with nordvpn and multicontainer add-on to open multiple tabs with on each tab/containter the same video stream of 720p/3mb. Used to work perfect until a few weeks ago. In the beginning there is no problem, but after a while stream start to stutter and freezes completely and i get a blackscreen;. Tried every quick fix on the internet, and even increased the cache. Also tried different machines and issue is the same on each macos device.

how can i fix this?

I am trying to view streaming live broadcasts in my country's public TV but the site detected some HDCP issue and asked me to use a HDCP-certified HDMI cable. Here is some quick info and what I had tried:

+ Besides privacy reasons, I am unable to share the website address, as viewing is limited to my country's IP addresses by the national broadcaster. + I have a dual-monitor set up to a Windows and a MacOS machine, both installed with Firefox 129.0.2 with add-ons being synced. + Viewing live videos on the same website in Windows Firefox (HDCP-certified cable) has no issue but not on MacOS Firefox (same HDCP-certified cable but different HDMI port on the monitor). + Switching around the different HDMI ports and cables yield the same outcome. + No issue on either Windows or MacOS when viewing recorded videos though. Only live streaming on MacOS is affected. + Tried disabling all add-ons and toggling DRM but to no avail. + Checked Widevine is latest version (4.10.2710.0).

Bookmarks Sidebar Automatically Opening. Please advise how to stop. Suddenly started happening once before [April 7, 2022], self corrected itself. Happening again [April 6, 2024]

No windows/tabs with bookmarks are open.

⬛️ When using top menu bar to open a new window does not occur; ⬛️ When using current window to add a new tab does not occur;

⬛️ When right clicking Firefox icon in dock to open new window,

    New window opens with bookmarks open.

Recently I cleared my Firefox browser history. After doing that, I can no longer sign into Amazon.com website. What am I doing wrong? Here is the message I'm getting:

Hi This is the 3rd time I am making this inquiry. I have firefox across multiple macbooks, ipads and iphones. The sync feature is unable to sync/save password across devices. If I save a PW on one device, even if I force all the devices Firefox to force sync, nothing shows up on the other devices. Please advise...

I have tried to download the latest update (v129.0.2). The download stops at about 98kb. This happened on the last update (v129.0.1) as well and it took me countless attempts to get it to work.

I know there are work-arounds but why should I have to **** around with my machine just to get an update?

Firefox has been an excellent browser but something has happened. I tried to access the help and, after several minutes of a blank page, I got the attached. Other legitimate pages are not loading. Sorely tempted to revert to Safari but i have donated this year and still prefer Firefox.

I downloaded Firefox on my mac-book air Mac-book (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2016) with mac OS Monterey. It will not let me sign into sync my Mozilla account. it wont let me delete my account to reset the browser.

I have tried deleting the browser entirely 3 times.

When I start PiP on Youtube via the keyboard shortcut 'command+option+shift+]', the miniplayer becomes focused, such that pressing 'control+tab' only cycles through options in the miniplayer, rather than switching tabs. It seems to me that the fix would be to force the focus back to the main window either automatically, or if control is held while pressing tab.

I recently deleted accounts and passwords that were stored in Firefox under my web browser account. Is there anyway I can get that data restored? I have access to the same email/account in Firefox, but need to restore the deleted website account/credential data.

When I'm in full screen mode, The Apple, "Firefox" "File" "Edit" "View" "History" "Bookmarks" "Tools" etc menu bar shows up at the top and won't disappear. On my iMac Pro, it doesn't show up. i.e. Off.

I can't figure out what is the setting to make sure it does not appear. I went digging everywhere and can't figure it out. If you could tell me what config, etc I'm missing I'd appreciate it.

This a a problem with the interface of a website, its missing a lot of the sections of text and stuff. The first attachment is what it looks like on firefox, and the following one is on safari. I've tried disabling the security limitations on the site to no avail. I'm on Mac.

I've been trying to watch live sports events on SECN+ through my Hulu subscription, but I'm encountering an error message stating, "The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported." I discovered that Firefox is blocking the stream, while it works perfectly on Chrome. With the college football season and other sports events approaching, I’m concerned that if this issue persists, I may have to stop using Firefox, which I've relied on for over two decades. I've got a question/suggestion about Picture in Picture feature. Why "Close" button works the same as "Back to Tab"?

Scenario: Close the Picture in Picture video by clicking on the [X] button or Cmd+W shortcut.

Actual result: Picture in Picture closes and Firefox window opens, on the tab containing the video. This is very strange behaviour. If I close the video, I don't want to watch it now. Essentially "Close" button works exactly like "Back to Tab" button - so what's the point? If I wanted to switch to the tab - I would click on "Back to tab".

Expected result: I expect Picture in Picture video to close and nothing else to happen. Don't open the window/tab containing the video.
