I have two o365 accounts from different companies. One of them works fine the other I get "user authenticated but not connected" I turned off ipv6 globally and specifically for outlook.office.com and tried relogging even revoked the app and allowed it again. Sending emails somehow works but it keeps loading even after the email is received. I'm on Linux tried both native and flatpak app. These account also work just fine through davmail. The irony is that the account which doesn't work recommends Linux users to use thunderbird that's what promoted me to switch to it instead of davmail.

I deleted a work account (hosted on google) and I keep getting pop-ups from Oauth to authenticate it. Looking at the troubleshooting information while it is not in the mail and news accounts list it does show up as an account.

Also, looking at the profile directories I seem to also see possible accounts that were deleted a long time ago but still straggling around.

How can I resolve this?

Since update to ver 128.1.0esr the "new subfolder" feature does not work (does not show window to name new folder). I have many subfolders and I rely on them heavily. I tried restarting Thunderbird, then Windows. I ran in debug mode with no success. I downloaded and installed 128.2.0esr again. No change.

Is it possible to go back to the earlier version? Which is? Thanks, Frederick

If I move my cursor back to the subject field, the subject becomes visible again. Is this the way it is intended to work?

I couldn't stop the 'need password' popups so I decided to uninstall my Hotmail account from Thunderbird and reinstall it. Unfortunately I am unable to reinstall it. When I try I get a message that the incoming server exists. I go into the advanced configuration and all ports are correct and Oauth2 authorization is selected. I changed to normal password and got the same error message. I checked and there was no outlook server under passwords on output server.

Next I opened a new outlook email and tried again. Now I get the error message 'could not get issuer for oathe authentication". I changed the authorization to normal password and got the error message 'Unable to log in at the server. Probable wrong configuration, username or password. I am sure that I am using the correct username and password.

I've read several posts about Thunderbird users who receive PDF attachments as "win.dat" files instead. But I have a very different and specific case, where 3 people are all sharing an office and all receiving the same emails from their clients. Two of these folks are getting the PDF attachments properly, but 1 of them always gets the win.dat attachment. They were all using Thunderbird version 102.15.1 so I decided to upgrade them to 115.3.1, and same issue. Just this one user gets win.dat file instead of PDFs. I even updated just that one to 115.5.1 and nothing changed. I've disabled and re-enabled anti-virus software, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat. I've also made sure to verify under Files & Attachments that PDFs are associated with Acrobat.

Thoughts?

This morning when I opened Thunderbird one of my email accounts displays the following for each email received since last night:

"--Apple-Mail=_DE41C5E1-7C51-4E82-AF8A-33451E8D062D-- --Apple-Mail=_15B38F36-FA9F-4D37-9155-2CF8D584427A-- "

I am on a windows computer. The other two email accounts I have in Thunderbird appear normal The emails on my email provider's server appear normal

Any thoughts as to what the problem is and how to fix?

I'm following the steps: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Exchange

Hi Guys, I wonder if you can help . I have had Monzilla Thunderbird App for some while , primarily used for email, and access to my email account with Microsoft and has always been a bit of a pain to say the least. That I fear is because it was never set up properly by myself in the first place.

However, at the moment I can't receive any email from my PC ......."bards@btconnect.com " unless I sign in via a webpage. However, access via my smartphone using supplied Outlook email app, no problem.

So I am hopeful that you guys can help me sort out my PC access once and for all.

The current problem has arisen after receiving a forced donation / subscription page from Mozilla having made my donation I still do not have access to my email and folders.

Brief history: i. Originally PC access to account via Monzilla working fine, (donations made at intervals to Monzilla). ii. Microsoft then changed security systems and servers and with current setup at the time I couldn't get access to email incoming or outgoing ( problem with Imap / PoP3 servers). iii. Fix provided by Monzilla with new account denoted as .... bards@btconnect.com (OWL) whatever OWL stands for I do not know, (annual subscription required). iv. Even with the use of this get around , I still had problems sending mail this I believe was a problem down to default passwords and old server settings. (confliction between default settings and original account settings and use of OWL ? ). v. As mentioned above the current problem has arisen after receiving a forced donation / subscription page from Mozilla having made my donation I still do not have access to my email. problem with server settings again. Don't know what's going on ? and I am thoroughly confused and would appreciate some help getting things back on track. Just in case I have some difficulty accessing this platform and this forum / help page it would be much appreciated if any help could also be sent to the following email addresses bards@btonnect.com and grahambardo@hotmail.co.uk Many thanks
