Hello, I am desperate. After an update today, my profile is gone. It would be no problem to set up the mails again. But I had saved a lot of mails in local folders for years and I'm afraid that I won't be able to access them if I set everything up again. Unfortunately, I can't do anything with the help articles because they are too technical. I think I have at least found the location of the locally stored mails. I'm using Thunderbird version 115.12.2 on Mac Sonoma 14.5. Every once and a while, when Thunderbird crashes (unfortunately frequent, because of the numbers of folders and emails), my unified folder suddenly contains *all* of my folders, rather than just the 2 inboxes from my 2 different accounts, which is what I want and what I set up when I configured unified.

When I go into properties --> "select the folders to search" it allows me to uncheck 1 folder at a time. BUT I have 1,931 folders !

Is there a way to uncheck all folders in "select the folders to search" and then I can just check inbox in each of my 2 accounts?

Apart from my main email address, I also have a Gmail address. Recently I stopped receiving and cannot send any emails from that gmail address. I keep receiving a pop-up window every10 minutes asking me to update my gmail parameters. The links given in that pop-up window lead nowhere. I followed instructions given in "Automatic conversion of Google mail accounts to Oauth 2.0 authentication" but the problem subsists. I am trying to attach a screenprint of the pop-up window but can't upload the .PDF. Please help, thanks

Hello, we are running Thunderbird 128.1.0osr (32-bit) released on 8/6/24. Ever since the upgrade my husband's email has not worked correctly.

Around that same time, he received a pop up within the Thunderbird app asking for donations from Thunderbird. The popup would not go away and my husband lost a ton of his email.

Ever since these two events his Thunderbird email won't work correctly.

Messages since 8/4/24 at 6:32 am DO work correctly. Emails prior to 5/6/23 also work correctly. Any message in the time period from 5/6/23 at 11:26 am to 8/4/24 does NOT work correctly.

We are having the same trouble with the sent items folder.

We use a third party email that we import into Thunderbird and have used the third party email and Thunderbird since at least 2020 and never had this problem.

We can see all the message headers in our email list, but when we click on the email, nothing shows up. It will briefly say "message loading" at the bottom corner, but the email is totally blank. Furthermore, the message that peeks out at the bottom is the last email that we clicked on from the section of emails that does work. It is not changing to the email we are actually clicking on.

For example: lets say we have an email with message header "thank you for your order" received on 8/15. We click into that and it pulls up fine.

Then we go into older email from 7/31. The message header is "hurry sale ends today". If we click on that, it will say "message loading" at the bottom corner. However, the message preview at the bottom of the screen still displays the from/to/subject from the previous email we viewed from 8/15 "thank you for your order" (the message from 8/15 shows as blank though).

Even if we double click the message from 7/31 that we are trying to view, it just pulls up a blank screen. The bar at the top will briefly display the correct message title that we are trying to open, then it just blanks out.

Steps we have taken:

1. In Account Settings/Privacy I clicked to "allow remote content". This made an improvement as prior to this we were having the same problem even with recent messages. We could see one or two messages that had just arrived, then the third message we couldn't see. We have messages set to delete on the server after so many days. So I think it was able to recover the message that were still on the remove 3rd party server.

2. We moved a lot of the emails into archive folders as I thought the inbox may be too large. That didn't make any improvement.

Thanks for any help you can provide. My husband has a lot of really important information in his emails that he needs.

I tried restarting Thunderbird, then Windows. I ran in debug mode with no success. I downloaded and installed 128.2.0esr again. No change.

Returned realized the Mistake and corrected the adress. ›ow, every time I want to write a Mail to the recepient I am offered both adresses. I Allready deleted the wrong spelling from my Contacts-App, but still ... I tried "search adress", but there I do find only the correct one.

Hello Is it possible and how to search the calendar for all events, even those that have passed. Currently I can search only: today's, events that will occur in 7, 14, 31 days, 6 and 12 months, this month, this day or visible. Sometimes I need to find an event that has already passed 2-3 months ago and the quick search does not find it. Your Outlook competitor searches in all events without any problem. My colleague, like me has been using Thunderbird for years, thank you. He has just purchased a new printer (Epson 2200) and he can no longer print any emails. Clicking on print brings up the box with 'Save to pdf' the ony option. We have gone into Troubleshooting Information and the printer appears in the print_printer line. We have also tried clearing the 'Clear saved print settings'. After we restart TB, no change, still unable to print with 'save to pdf' the only option. We have removed and reistalled the printer, which will print anything else outside of TB.

TB is up to date with the Nebula version. Windows 11 on new Acer Laptop.

Hi, I am closing down an old email address because they are now charging me for it. I was advised to use Thunderbird so I signed up and am now receiving emails to thunderbird from my xtra.co.nz email address. However, it hasn't brought over my saved folders from my xtra.co.nz app. Someone suggested I need to change to imap, but do not know where to find this and not sure if I do it in Thunderbird or the xtra mail app or both. I have about a dozen accounts set up on my laptop. I want to have the same accounts on this desktop system. I am loathe to do so by using the standard Tools > Account Setup process because every time I have done so in the past several months, I've had validation problems with the email servers at the ISPs. I've had to change every password to create baseline values before TB could add them even though I had valid passwords copied from a password vault program.

Is there a way to just copy or transfer the data from the laptop to this desktop? I have a couple of the accounts set up here but would like to bring the others over without having to go through the setup steps.

I have an IMAP account. Under Settings_Copies & Folders I have the option 'Place replies in the folder of the message being replied to' checked.

After sending a message Thunderbird can't save it to that locvation. I get the option to save to a local folder.

Subsequently I then try to move or copy the email to my desired IMAP folder. This fails with no error message - the email stays in the Local Folder.

How can I resolve this?
