Error message: 'Unable to write email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you to write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox'. I am not receiving emails since the 11th August. Seems stuck on a particular email. Can you help me please?

I have many mailing lists. If I try to create a new message, any mailing list name turns red with a yellow triangle. The send button is greyed out, message cannot be sent.

I already tried replacing spaces in the mailing list name with underscores. Did nothing. I rcreated a new mailing list called "Test" (one word, no spaces) with only two names in it. Same thing happens. None of many mailing lists which used to work can be recognized anymore.

Thunderbird version is 115.14.0 (32-bit), running on Windows 7 Professional SP1

I've hit the refresh button 1000s of times to get halfway through my emails I'm still a few months from current it downloads 1-3 emails most of the time when hitting refresh all. And most of the help I found for this stuff is very out of date.

When I go to send an email or hit reply, the new page is full, and I mean FULL of gobbledegook. How do I get rid of it once and for all? I couldn't open links in emails. I tried all the "solutions". None worked. I then went to SETTINGS\GENERAL scroll down to Files & Attachments. Under Actions, click the one next to HTTP, then USE OTHER. It said there were no apps for this. I clicked the left gray bar on the bottom below No applications, searched for Chrome and double clicked it. I did the same for HTTPS. everything works now.

Trying to setup a new mail account in Thunderbird, it finds the configuration in Mozilla ISP database (POP3) but does accept the password. Yet I can setup OK Yahoo Mail with same address and password

long term user here, thanks a lot for your awesome software, absolute essential live-saver.

A few days ago, I did the update to 128.1.0esr (64-Bit) from 115 on win11. Very smooth transition, no issues with my 4 accounts, calendars etc. Great experience.

However, since the update, QuickSearch Ctrl-Shift-K filter that did instanteaneous filters on my 25k mailfolders came to griniding halt.

What happend: - Type a search term with filters on 'subject', 'from' 'to'activate freezes the app for many wall-clock seconds (5-10). Switching to another app and switching back gives me a Windows (Thunderbird not Responsive) in the title bar of the main window during that time.

What I expected: - almost instantaneus filter without noticable lag

What I tried: - deactivate, then uninstall expression search addon incompatible with 128 - restart in Troubleshoot mode with all addons disabled - reboot OS (Win11) several times - searched forums and stackoverflow for similar issues using different search term approaches and combinations

Just Updated to Thunderbird 128.1: Now I Cannot Sort/Move Recipients from TO: to CC: / BCC: and Back on A-Previous Sent (Now New to-be Updated) New Email.... Can I Rollback to Previous 128.0 Version????

Have removed all accounts, have removed all passwords. Have removed all Thunderbird information from laptop. Re downloaded Thunderbird (latest version). Select Thunderbird app. Page 'set up existing email account’ appears. enter my name enter email account no password entered settings found by probing given server. ( screen shot 1)

Anyone help please. This has been going on for many many days now.

With the latest Thunderbird update (128.1.0esr) I am seeing frequent "not responding" situations. It eventually does come back. Am I doing something wrong? I am on a PC running Windows 10.

Thunder bird on windows (115.10.1) freezes with a not responding message when a few delete messages are made. Earlier it used to scroll to some random location on the screen. now it freezes for a long while. Is this a bug to be fixed or something wrong at my end?

Some nice person on this thread already offered useful help in restoring my Thunderbird program, and I appreciate that. My computer crashed in such a way that it had to be restored from my cloud back-up but that did not restore Thunderbird. After much work by my computer guy, the person who built my machine, I can now receive and send e-mails. However, my address book data and the very existence of an address book are still missing. While watching my friend work through Team Viewer I have seen parts of that data but he seems not yet to have found a way to attach it to my program. Also missing is the search function by which one can look for a word in an e-mail address or message.

Tunderbird fails to open at a early stage (loading the default inbox) and is then unresponsive. How can I extract messages, pesumably from the profile, please. Widows 11.

Afternoon to all, Please may I have some help? Years ago I had on my old laptop Mozilla that my husband (sadly passed away) had installed for me. I wish to have Mozilla again, but I can't seem to get it on new tablet/phone as is says *I already have an account* I can get no further and stuck as dont remember my password etc...HELP PLEASE. Hi, I am closing down an old email address because they are now charging me for it. I was advised to use Thunderbird so I signed up and am now receiving emails to thunderbird from my xtra.co.nz email address. However, it hasn't brought over my saved folders from my xtra.co.nz app. Someone suggested I need to change to imap, but do not know where to find this and not sure if I do it in Thunderbird or the xtra mail app or both. Looking for instructions on on how I can bring my existing folders from my xtra.co.nz mail into Thunderbird?
