I have downloaded and deleted Firefox a dozen times and history and cache and still it is not allowing me to have the Chose User Profile to pop up

I have been trying for the last 2 days to get the Firefox -Choose User Profile to come up and each time I add the below in the terminal

/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/Firefox-bin -P

I get

Alans-MacBook-Pro:~ alanbmillard$ /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/Firefox-bin -P -bash: /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/Firefox-bin: No such file or directory Alans-MacBook-Pro:~ alanbmillard$

So it states no such file or directory when Firefox is definately in the Applications folder

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you in advance

Ok, first of all, I know I did something really stupid. Firefox was not loading for me, so I used Clean My Mac to uninstall it and reinstall it. I did not realize that my profile information (bookmarks/passwords) was saved locally, and I didn't back anything up.

I know! Very stupid. I've already tried using a data recovery software, and that did not help at all. I think my original profile data might be lost.

However, I have sync on, and all of the profile data on my phone is still there. Is there any way to transfer all of my bookmarks and passwords from my phone to my desktop?

I need to fora a scrollbar on a page that "pops up" but lacks scrollbar

handelsbanken ( owner of the page) is not helpful

I am running very high CPUs with firefox and it is keeping my computer very warm even when the lid is closed and it should be sleeping and it seems to be the reason my battery life is so short - no more than an hour or two at most.

I have been looking online for all the troubleshooting routes, but I've tried so many with the same result. I've trashed and redownloaded it on my Mac multiple times and cannot even get into the options to toggle and choose. I have to usually quit firefox for anything to even happen when I click, but when I've seen it stop bouncing, it just shows it's stopped responding. I really like Firefox more than Brave and Chrome, if you could please help, I'd appreciate it. Other browsers like Chrome and Brave still work, and I just dowloaded and started using Brave in the meantime.

bold textbold text I absolutely cannot find a way to add website shortcuts to Firefox home page on a mac iOs Sonoma. Found several sets of directions, but nothing works. This is driving me crazy, so please tell me how to easily accomplish this using the tools of Mozilla for iOS Sonoma. Many thanks!

Hi all. For several years now I have noticed one problem: when I want to go to a page from my bookmarks, the browser simply refreshes the current page. I'm on some website and I want to open my bookmark in the same tab, so as not to open a new tab. But the site is simply updated and the bookmark is not navigated. Browser version 127.0.2 macos M1

I have set "*.azconfig.io" domain to be bypassed in my Mac OS (v14.4.1) proxy settings which Safari honors but not Firefox (v128.0).

Addl info: My Proxy setting uses the pac configuration provided by my organization.

Have a macbook pro. Have not updated firefox in a while due to this message I get when i go to "about firefox" "Updates disabled by your system administrator" This is my personal laptop for the last few years, nobody has ever used it. I AM the administrator. Many posts online about this message for windows and linux but cannot find a fix for Mac, or why this is happening.

How do i update please? Having a lot of latency issues of late so need to update.

All of a sudden I am not able to download files on my MacbookPro in Firefox. I am using Version 126 on Mac OS 12.7.5 Monterey.

Downloads are working if I use Safari, but I do not use it. I just used it for testing purposes. Is anybody else having this problem? I've already "refreshed" Firefox per their suggestion.

It used to be that Firefox had different containers. I kept separate ones for shopping, banking, Facebook, etc. Now I had to erase my MacBook Pro IOS, and after a few days of trying to use Safari, I installed Firefox. But I can no longer see the possibility of using containers. I found them particuarly helpful when I had more than one account for a certain platform - with containers, I didn't need to sign out and sign in to switch users. It also (supposedly) kept Facebook from tracking our interests. Has Firefox done away with containers? Or have I simply forgotten what they are called (buckets, maybe?). I searched and searched the help articles to no avail. If they have done away with them, why?

By the way, Chrome (which I had to use at work) started offering a similar product and it was also very helpful.

When printing - print font continually changes. Is there a way to set the print font ?

When accessing print option, it is necessary to go in and out of print mode to get the page to print in desired font. Why is this happening, and is there a way to select a specific font where all printing will adhere to?

I prefer the Firefox browser. Outlook 365 used to open perfectly on my laptop, but it does not open now. Nothing different was done. I trouble shooted this with Outlook support, but it turns out that it is a Firefox problem.

Outlook 365 opens perfectly in Chrome on this laptop and on my phone and it still opens perfectly in Firefox on my old Macbook Pro from 2013.

What shall I do?

On Mac OS 14.4 Firefox hangs on launch and crashes, requiring "Force Quit" when I try to Refresh or Troubleshoot. Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, and restarted computer several times. Have spent several hours trying multiple community suggestions to now avail.

I am not a programmer, but am able to follow instructions. I clearly need someone to hold my hand and walk me through the solution. (I even checked out the Kaspersky suggestion, but cannot install it because Firefox cannot connect to the Internet.)

I have downloaded and saved "Raw Data.docx" and "Application Basics tex.docx" from one of the crash reports.

P.S. On this question form Firefox guessed that my operation system was Mac OS x 10_15_7, but it is 14.4

Firefox interferes with Shift+Control+Command+4 which should give me a drag icon to copy an area of a webpage. Sometimes it works and sometimes Firefox prevents me from selecting a part of the page to copy and instead opens up a new tab. I don't want a new tab, I want to make a copy of part of a page. How can I disable that "New tab" function so that I can make a copy of part of my screen? Sometimes I have to resort to doing Shift+Control+Command+3 and making a copy of the whole screen, then putting that in an email so I can make a copy of just the portion that I wanted from the page. I am considering switching to SAFARI as my default browser because this makes me so mad.
