I downloaded the latest version for my mac and now when I open a new window or webpage like Gmail as soon a it loads it crashes. How do I fix this? Like if I open a new tab and say I select the weather. As soon as the web page loads it crashes.

Old machine is a mac running Thunderbird 78.14.0 on El Capitan. The new machine is Mac running Sonoma 14.6.1 with Thunderbird 115.14. Thanks, Richard

I went to Ugsound.com accidently while using Firefox on my Imac. The Firefox warning came up immediately and I left the site. Did Firefox protect me from malicious virus or was it too late? I was on the site for maybe 7-8 seconds.
