For the past week I get a message from Norton telling me that radiowmpcoregecko is safe. I can't find it anywhere and I have no idea what it is or where it came from. Is it important - if so, what does it do.

is it related to the tool bar aid "conduit" ? I may have picked that up with he WinZip 16 update; not sure,-- I have that disabled in ie9 now but can't figure out how to junk it I definitely do not want to be getting warnings from Norton\Endpoint every hour or so. It's easy enough to delete the RadioWMPCoreGecko?.dll files but they keep coming back. we need to know how to root out whatever is calling them. I did block access to conduit in my ie9

I got it too. I am very annoyed at firefox for putting random crap on my computer such as conduit tab search. When Norton pops up with a notification saying the file is safe, in File Insight, go to "locate files", you will see about 10 of these radioWMPcoregecko DLL files, and a couple of conduit files. Delete them all.
