Not getting messages on Thunderbird for my encrypted email account

Good morning- my name is Paul B. I use Thunderbird for my email box sender and receiver. For the last few days I am not getting my encrypted Mailfence messages on Thunderbird but they are coming through on my cell phone. I have a backup non-encrypted email on Thunderbird and it is working find sending and receiving. I checked Thunderbird and it said I needed to verify/update my Open PGP Key which I did. It offered the option of setting up a new Open PGP Key or verify the old one. I verified the old one and got a Thunderbird response that this was verified with them yesterday but I still am not getting Mailfence emails on Thunderbird.I sent a message from my wife's computer to my Mailfence account and received it on my cell phone but not on my laptop/Thunderbird site this morning. July 2024 - Thunderbird is demanding that I change my Hotmail password, after long trouble -free operation. It will not login. Why? (I have not changed the PW yet, hoping for a solution that will avoid the necessity.) I fear that it may be due to some fault in OAuth. Can anyone please provide any help to overcome this problem? Hello. I'm in a real mess with Thunderbird which I've been using (and contributing to) for many years. My accounts (mostly Outlook/Hotmail) will not connect. Or, actually, they sometimes do, and most of the time don't. I've tried the various solutions that people kindly suggest. But, I think I've changed things so often - and also rather randomly - that everything is in a total mess. Do you think the issues with MS will be resolved? Or, if not, would you recommend the Outlook app, instead? Thanks!

I installed thunderbird in a new computer via flatpak. The computer is running PopOS 22.04 and the current Thunderbird version is 128.0esr.

I don't know if this happened after the last update from 127 to 128 or was like this before, but on the compose window all the menus and buttons on the top row are completeley invisible, white on white (if I hover over them, then they are slightly visible). See the first 2 images.

The main window is OK and everything is readable (see 3rd image).

I don't know how to change these colors.

Any help will be appreciated.

To Whom It May Concern: I have Thunderbird installed on a Laptop with Win 10 OS. Some Email I've received and I've read, a few days later don't appear in the Thunderbird Inbox. I can go to my Email Providers Web Mail and the Email are there, accordingly, they have not been deleted.

I also have Thunderbird installed on a PC with Win XP Pro as the OS and the Email that can't be seen on the Win 10 Laptop are there on the Win XP Pro Computer. Can you tell me why the Email is not found on in Thunderbird installed on the Win 10 Laptop?

I used the password which I used to setup the Thunderbird account originally. I have not had any problems logging into the system since, but today Thunderbird prompted me for the password, which I inserted but is now not recognised. Can anyone help please.

Text not wrapping to window when writing emails

Having just installed the new update 128.0.1esr on two different computers running on Windows 10, we have the new problem that when composing new emails the text does not… (kàsi)

Having just installed the new update 128.0.1esr on two different computers running on Windows 10, we have the new problem that when composing new emails the text does not wrap to the window.

Changing the message format (Automatic, plain, HTML) does not make any difference.

Changing the wrap length to 0 in the Config editor does not make any difference either.

This is actually a real nuisance of a problem and we'd be very grateful for help. I suspect this is a bug in the new update but in until it gets sorted out we basically are going to go mad trying to write our emails. Is it possible to revert to the earlier version of Thunderbird, and if so, how?

I struggle with very strange function of shortcuts - when I try to CTRL + SHIFT + R. So far Answer to all recepients. But 1 year ago it works in that way that message disappears and the dialog window is shown with info and option: Mark messages as read from <empty_field> till <today's_date>. When I try to find the message which disappeared I can find it in search results and its location is archive directory. I haven't created this directory. When I try to use combination CTRL + SHIFT + R when chosen message moved to archive directorry (search results) message dissapears again but for good (of course dialog window as described before is shown again). Has any body experienced the same? Any clues what happened? Any new update? How to restore proper action for CTRL + SHIFT + R? Any ideas?

Issue with hotmail account sign in

I have mapped Gmail / Hotmail / iCloud accounts to my Thunder bird mail client on my Windows 11 PC. However of late I find that only the Hotmail account keeps popping up… (kàsi)

I have mapped Gmail / Hotmail / iCloud accounts to my Thunder bird mail client on my Windows 11 PC.

However of late I find that only the Hotmail account keeps popping up the dialog asking for password. This is quite a nuisance as Hotmail is my primary mail account. But the funny part is I do get mails in my InBox even if I cancel the dialog box. And even funny is it repeats the dialog even if enter the right password.

Appears to be some issue related with how password is handled.

Any help is appreciated ! Thanks
