What happened to the word "Firefox" at the top left of the browser? I help a lot of folks with computers, and since most things are done in a browser, sometimes have to ask them what browser they're using and there's no easy way to tell from just looking. Even hitting ALT to bring up the menu says nothing about it being Firefox.

Is there a way to put that back/why removed?

If not, I'll send feedback to Mozilla requesting that be added back but they don't seem responsive to such feedback.

Thanks.

This is a problem I used to experience a while ago, and then I wasn't experiencing it at all for a long time; however, it's just cropped up again.

I'll be browsing like usual, then I click a link, and that page won't load, just endlessly "waiting". Then I open some new tabs and try visiting other websites, but they also get stuck in the "forever loading" state.

It's not an internet problem because other programs on my computer are still connecting just fine, including to the same sites I'm trying to visit on Firefox.

An interesting wrinkle: other sites that I already had open tabs in when the problem starts will continue to be able to connect to other pages in that site and otherwise receive new data from that site, whether in the same tab or in a new tab. Specifically YouTube and Discord. I can continue receiving new Discord messages and watching new YouTube videos, while other sites fail to load. That is, unless I close all open tabs of those sites and then try to visit them; then they also stop working like everything else.

I'm not sure what the cause could be. In the instance that happened today, the link that initiated it was literally to the homepage of the same site I was already on. And nothing seems to resolve the problem except for exiting Firefox entirely and relaunching it.

Every so often the firefox icon pinned to the taskbar becomes blank. Selecting the icon results in file not found message and asks if I want to delete.

There's a lot of articles on internet about this problem. The fix always seems to be "just re-pin to taskbar"

I can re-pin Firefox to the taskbar but should not have to.

Long time Firefox user using Windows10 latest updates. Please advise a permanent fix.

I am not able to load any games on Facebook using Firefox, the game main page loads and the spinning loading just stops and goes no further. All other browsers do not have this problem, chrome loaded fine, Microsoft Edge loaded fine. I was able to get it to work for a short bit last night on Firefox by totally removing Firefox, including folders last night, shut down, tried today and issue has returned. I have tried all the steps in the forums, nothing is working, why is it only Firefox doing this?

The title pretty much sums it up. I even tried drastic measures such as logging out then completely uninstalling Firefox and removing any leftover data on both platforms. After reinstalling and connecting to the Firefox account they will sync with previous data but any new data I add on Windows won't show up on Android and vice versa. I also obviously tried forcing a sync manually... I really wish I didn't have to switch to another password manager any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Am I understanding this correctly?

HTML backup (bookmarks) doesn't support tags and annotations, but JSON backup does, and JSON backup doesn't preserve the website favicons, but HTML backup does?

So, what I can do, is restore my (saved) bookmarks using JSON backup, then restore the HTML backup, this would get my tags and annotations, and the website favicons back? But the downside, I will need to remove duplicates?

Please help an old dummie? I have an existing FF install on a laptop. I would like to clone it (with bookmarks, settings tiles etc) onto a new PC. An article I read said open FF on the PC you want to sync. This is confusing! "Synchronising" is ambiguous, meaning 2-way. (but which way) "copy from" & "copy to" would be clear. I am worried I will synch(copy) from the new to the old....... effectively deleting/wiping out all my preferences in my original install. OR (preferably) Is there a way to just copy the whole installation from my original PC onto a USB stick & installing FF to the new PC from it? Many Thanks
