For at least a couple months, I've been having an issue with the address line in Firefox. Before I put my cursor in that box so I can type, it looks like this:

But when I start typing, in this case I typed an S, I get this:

instead of what I'm typing with maybe a history - of urls, not url names.

IE: I start typing sure and in the past, it would see a possible choice of suresupport.com. Now, I see anything with sure in it, with no url, just words.

I've looked at the info in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/address-bar-autocomplete-firefox#w_changing-your-address-bar-settings but even choosing different configurations and even with none selected, I still have the same problem. I can't see what I'm typing because the words are in the way as in my second screenshot.

As of this writing, I've now have no checkmarks in "Search Suggestions" and none in Address Bar — Firefox Suggest. How do I get it to only show possible URLs and not words. I almost never use the address bar to do searches, I use Google.

I noticed that sometimes (not everytime) I had "Server Not Found" error on some of my website. Since i have a DNS server at home i thought it was probably related to that so I opened Wireshark to see what was happening.

to better understand I have 2 dns records

server.lan that point to 192.168.1.61 and *.mydomain.com that points to server.lan with a CNAME.

In wireshark i saw that generally firefox does A and HTTPS(TYPE 65) queries but sometimes it only does HTTPS.

In case of a Type 65 query my dns server only answers with the CNAME so server.lan The issue is that Firefox doesnt try to resolve the CNAME.

When firefox do both A and Type65 it seems to work probably because it takes the A answer wich contains both cname and the IP of the CNAME but when it doesn't do both it just stop after the HTTPS one without trying to resolve the CNAME.

Google chrome seems to always do Both A and Type 65 query.

I have all my tabs set and don't want to lose them. My Mozilla Firefox Browser will not open on my desktop. I have another Browser I use for facebook as it works better with fb app. I did a cookie clean on the Microsoft Edge browser and I think it messed with my Mozilla Firefox Browser. It won't open now. I tried to update the browser. It still won't open.

With Firefox 129.0 for Windows (64-bit), I am unable to log into one of my banking sites. It always says invalid username/password. It works fine with Microsoft Edge, and another computer still on 128.0.3, and their phone app.

I have tried the normal stuff of clearing cookies and cache, safe mode, etc... No change.

Unless someone has a similar card that uses a similar login, may be hard to test, but this is the login link: https://auth.securebanklogin.com/?brand=card

Firefox and Tor have been freezing on links from gmail and on google searches. Tor gives the following message:

Why does PG&E (Pacific Gas & Electric) now refuse to accept login's to their website using Firefox? They claim that they no longer accept Firefox as a supported browser. Gotta use Microsoft Edge (ughh)

I used to be able to save bookmarks by selecting in a dropdown menu where I would like to to save the bookmark. I no longer see a dropdown menu when I go to save a page. It automatically saves the last folder used for bookmarks. It is a little confusing because I have to go search for the bookmark and move it into another folder. I don't know if this is due to an update or if I somehow changed the settings but really want to be able to select which folder I am saving my bookmarks to. Can I change this in the settings?

The youtube performance on my potato PC is very slow on Firefox. Yes, potato PC indeed, but Edge works fine.

Troubleshooting mode doesn't improve anything. Sandbox mode, performance is terrible on everything (maybe potato PC can't run sandbox mode well enough).

Disabling hardware acceleration doesn't help (makes worse actually).

I have cleaned files, defragged, restarted over and over and Firefox 129.0 is so slow it is barely functioning. I have Win 10, Norton 360 & Roboform. Please help and give me advice an old man can follow.

I just moved from the MS Edge to Firefox Nightly on both on my pc and on my android phone, and as far i like it very much, except maybe the bookmarks sync but i will not talk about this right now.

My problem is on my win11 pc, after the 1st update there are now two identical Firefox apps showing on the default apps, in settings, as you can see in the picture. I search on the internet for a solution but with no success. Can someone help me with this ?? Thanks in advance !!

I'm using a macbook air, and I was trying to use the fingerprint login thing, when instead of unlocking my puter it shut down the whole thing and it started to make very loud fan noises. I waited a few minutes for it to stop, then got back on, and my bookmarks and saved passwords were deleted from firefox. No passwords or logins were reset on any other applications. This is very alarming since I had just made an email and some accounts to manage some event I'm holding, and now the password I trusted to firefox is lost. I need this password, as otherwise I cannot log into my email since I hadn't time to set up recovery measures (I have tried to recover it, but there's insufficient evidence for google that I own the account :/ ).

I tried looking through my browsing history for anything helpful, but everything was deleted from there as well. I also was not logged into my Mozilla account at the time either, so I am really in some sort of predicament here, , I'd appreciate any advice and ideas here!!

I always use Firefox as my default browser. In the past, I did not have any problem on getting access to Yahoo Mail such as downloading and deleting the incoming mail. Having upgraded Firefox to its version 129.0 recently, my Yahoo Mail cannot delete the incoming mail after reading. In addition, the counter number of incoming mail remains the same and has no effect. Appreciate it much if any technical assistance will be given soon.

My email application is zmailcloud.com from Cloudiance. It has worked fine for me for years using Firefox. However, in the last week or so, when I open an email message, I cannot see anything but empty "From"and To" fields. Nothing is in the body of the message, either (see attached screenshot). But, if I open a reply or forward message, everything in the original message appears normal (see other screenshot). This problem does not occur using Micrsoft Edge, only Firefox. Anyone have any suggestions???

When I attempt to search something and expect a redirect to my search engine or try to access a site that autocompletes in the address bar (for example, typing drive, autocompleting to drive.google.com, then clicking Enter to go to Google Drive), sometimes the website does not load after pressing Enter, and it is as if the search/address input did not go through after pressing Enter.

This seems to be an issue that has been occurring only over the past few months. What may be the issue, and how may I resolve this?

One of the Firefox profiles does not save logins and passwords, but other profiles of the browser at that same computer have not that problem. How can I solve this problem ?

After 129.0 update hulu streaming quit working. I have other streaming services that still work fine. I tried it on older version of firefox 115.14.0esr (64bit) (old pc microsoft 8.1) and it works fine there. Can i go back to an older version of firefox or is this a known issue with update?

 This is the issue, Hulu website loads and allows you to log in. When you try to stream a show it plays commercial then freezes.
